About the African Women Awards
This is designed as a one day conference that will precede the Awards conferement ceremony.
It will focus on identifying and addressing
challenges to the optimization of women’s direct involvement in economic
(including socio-economic)activities both within their respective national
jurisdictions and on a cross border basis, sub regional pan African and
intercontinental business activities all inclusive.
The conference will comprise a welcome address by the chief organizer, a
special address by the Special Guest of Honor, a key note address by the
Delegated official from your outfit and about three technical presentations
by selected experts in pertinent fields of expertize.
The conference will be largely interactive and will be attended both
physically and by virtual participation using digital channels, depending
on the preference of each invited guest. However attendance will be strictly
by invitation comprising primarily women but also a sizeable number of
men in positions of authority to effect positive change, largely from Africa
itself but also from other continents, particularly Western Europe and North
America.
At the end of the conference a communique will be produced for circulation
to the relevant institutions of state all around Africa as well as pertinent sub
regional, pan African and global multilateral institutions.
